I am so thankful for all those who have served our country in years past as well as today. Our democracy requires dedication and service to persist. Our constitution specifically protects freedom of religion. It does not protect one religion over another. Some of the members of our democracy (and some members of our Supreme Court) have forgotten that fact. Some want the term Christian to only represent their personal beliefs regarding a variety of issues. I am a Christian and the God that I know and love does not think that all abortions are wrong. That difficult decision is for the woman to make in consultation with her family and physician.
God asks us to love our neighbor as ourselves. God asks us to be tolerant of others. Many in so-called Christian denominations have ignored that most important teaching of the Bible. I pray for the future that my children and grandchildren will live in.
